VeggieWorld – a success story

2019 was the most successful year for VeggieWorld

Since its foundation in 2011, VeggieWorld celebrates 2019 as its most successful year! In numbers, this means…

  • 22 VeggieWorlds
  • 11 countries
  • 2 continents
  • 1,831 exhibitors
  • 110,000 visitors

That is why we would like to thank first of all YOU: Partners, exhibitors, visitors and suppliers – without you, VeggieWorld would not be such a success. Your trust and our common aim to make the world every day a bit more cruelty free, we can proudly say today, that we moved things this year, and we will use all our energy and motivation to continue for the next years!

280 vegan start-ups entered the market

An unmistakable indication of the enourmous speed of the vegan market is the high number of participations of start-ups at VeggieWorld worldwide: 280 young companies took the courageous step to develop and bring their own vegan product on the market, thereof primary in the food sector.

We, at VeggieWorld, offer subsidized conditions for these companies, to support and accompany their first steps and help them grow their business. We remember many entrepreneurs a few years ago at VeggieWorld which exhibited with their prototypes and now became well known, established brands! It is great to feel that you have been part of this development. If you are planning to launch your own products, please feel free to contact our team at any time!

Asia – here we are

Due to the high demand on the part of the exhibitors, we decided to establish VeggieWorld likewise on the asiatic market:

These editions did not only welcome national brands but also world brands such as Beyond Meat, JUST, Oatly, LUSH and SILK. All this was possible due to our new collaboration with the fair professionals of Fair Connections / China. Together, we will develop further VeggieWorlds over the next few years in Asia.

Our mission

We are an economically working enterprise and our team is paid on a very fair basis. Not only they are working for a vegan future but also stand personally behind the vegan idea. Our director, Hendrik Schellkes, is convinced about his strategy: „Besides the financial value, we have always a close look at the content. Our mission is it to show the people that veganism has nothing to do with renouncement, is affordable and joyfull for all senses. We don’t want to persuade, we want to convince. A vegan way of life primarily helps to reduce the suffering of animals. It is also the easiest way for everyone to protect the environment and maintain their own health.“

Our vision for 2020

For 2020, we have set ourselves primary the target of expanding the quality and quantity of our existing events! This being said, we will focus of making VeggieWorld even more international, working with local partners, developing our first B2B event in Europe (Paris), and expanding the Asian zone with the APAC regions, as well as the Middle East and America. We hope that you stand behind our vision and are happy to welcome you as a partner, visitor or exhibitor at one of our next events!
