Alle VeggieWorld Termine 2020 verschoben

Meerbusch, 27.04.2020 // VeggieWorld Veranstalter verschiebt alle diesjährigen VeggieWorld Termine.

All VeggieWorlds in 2020 postponed

Meerbusch, 27.04.2020 // VeggieWorld organizer postpones all this year’s VeggieWorld dates. The reason for this is the lack of planning security due to the Corona crisis.

There will be no more VeggieWorlds this year
In the course of the Corona crisis, VeggieWorld organizer Wellfairs will not host VeggieWorlds until the end of this year. Among event organizers prevails large uncertainty at the moment. Given the current situation it is unlikely that larger indoor events can take place this year. „We regret from the bottom of our hearts that we will not be able to host any more VeggieWorlds in 2020. Unfortunately, this decision is unavoidable for us“, says Hendrik Schellkes, CEO of VeggieWorld.

Great uncertainties in the entire industry
„We don’t expect any formal permission for events of our size this year. But even with permission, we could not, as things stand at the moment, plan for the autumn dates with sufficient exhibitors and visitors to cover our costs. We also want to avoid any health risk for all trade fair participants,“ Schellkes continues. In the last few weeks the VeggieWorlds in Shanghai, Milan, Paris and Hamburg, which were planned for spring, already had to be postponed. To avoid further losses, the organizer decided not to hold any events in fall 2020. The majority of VeggieWorld employees are temporarily on short-time work.

Future projects
„Despite significantly lower personnel capacities, we are using the event-free time to push ahead with exciting projects. In the coming weeks we will launch our new website. In addition, we also work on it to supply our community more regularly with veggie content in the future „, explains Hendrik Schellkes. For the summer 2021 the organizer plans also the first vegan festival in Germany „VeggieWorld Camp Out“. „We are convinced that the vegan topic will continue to gain relevance. This will not decrease by the Corona crisis, I think, quite the contrary. Schellkes adds.
